Trickles Down

I was going to leave tonight with just the photo I shared earlier. Tired, et cetera.
Instead of doing so I pulled this out of somewhere.

I feel as though I’m trying to create an idea of an image of music as a physical form.
Not sure why I chose water as the main purveyor of that image. Probably due to liking water.

I hope you enjoy.

It is a gentle shimmering that is experienced
As the sound trickles on down its own body
Much like droplets of water
As they slide down a window after rainfall

The beat remains removed whilst leaving an image
Something of which strongly suggests its presence
Most certainly not heard, but quite clearly felt
It guides the sound even when it remains absent

Many strings create a sense of water flowing
Some sounds briefly surface before they go under
To build on the growing body of sound
As it keeps on flowing toward a singular destination

Eventually it begins to narrow
And nothing else adds to the body
It begins to shrink as it fades away
Until once more it is given opportunity to fill and rise.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
