Same road and same bend as this one, but from a different point.
I think that from this point of view the bend seems sharper. It probably has a lot to do with the sense of distance given by the relative straightness of the road in this section.
I also like how the vegetation contrasts against the road. It’s a rather sudden shift in feel and colour, I think.
This is my submission into the ninety-third Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Morning“. I’m not sure as to how apparent it is that this photo was taken in the morning. It’s quiet, though this area likely often is.
I think there’s a certain tone to it that might come through only due to its being a scene of the morning, however.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is Leya. Amy hosts the next one.
I recommend giving the challenges a go and seeing how you interpret each theme. I also recommend checking out what other people are doing to meet the challenges.
I hope you enjoy.
Makes me think of Tolkien:
The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can…

Perhaps if we followed this road it too would have gone far ahead, but truly this was behind us which, when turning around was only as far as its exit, though that was a short distance away.

A lovely response SH – one wonders what one would find. I love an image that asks a question

I was thinking about it in terms of its shape more than its representation, but I’m glad that it’s raising questions.

What’s around the bend…? A morning question!

I love the winding road and the mountain views at the end. Well done.

Great greens, and I love the brown of the road, with its rough texture.

It certainly makes for a textural contrast.
