The bridge to Bare Island as seen from Bare Island.
I think this shot gives a bit of an idea of the bridge’s length (it’s not too long), but if I had taken this shot from a few more metres away and angled it a bit differently, then the bridge’s length would likely have been more apparent. I think.
I feel as though the contrast between the lighter and darker areas might be a bit too strong. It might be due to the amount of sky. Not sure. That said, I do like the amount of space afforded by the sky as it kind of makes this scene feel as though it exists in its own pocket in space.
This is also my submission into the eighty-sixth Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.
The theme for this one is “Change Your Perspective“.
The expected shot of a bridge over water is from directly under one side of the bridge and across to the other. I’m fairly certain I’ve shared shots of that here.
This is kind of different, though it’s still probably an expected form of shooting a bridge, now that I think about it.
The challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:
Week 1 – Patti
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya
Week 3 – Amy
Week 4 – Tina
This one is hosted by Patti. The next will be guest hosted by Miriam Hurdle of The Showers of Blessings.
I recommend giving the challenges a go and seeing how you interpret each theme. I also recommend checking out what other people are doing to meet the challenges.
I hope you enjoy.
