A Shot of Anderson .Paak

Last week after the first main moving part I went to the Anderson .Paak gig at Hordern Pavillion.

It took a little bit for photography accreditation to come through and as such the photographer who was going to cover it for Culture Eater wasn’t able to anymore.

My colleague asked if I could cover the gig. I said yes because we had the opportunity and didn’t consider that someone else who helps us out could have covered it.

I also didn’t take into consideration how much moving would tire me out. I thought about that later on but I didn’t renege as I didn’t want to pass on being able to do more gig photography.

I went, took the photos and left shortly after. We were allowed to come back in but I was tired and wanted to rest. I also heard and saw enough to write a review that I thought would be informative.

You can find the review here and the gallery here. Please go check them out.

Here’s one of the photos from the gig.

Anderson .Paak’s show had projections that worked really well with the performance.

I like how the colour and light contrast work both with Anderson .Paak and the patterns in the background.

I think that the curve of the shape in the background works well to both frame Anderson .Paak and draw attention to him, but I also think that it doesn’t exclude the rest of the shot.

I’m sharing this photo as part of The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.

The theme this week is “Curves“.

This challenge is hosted by four people and cycles weekly:

Week 1 – Patti

Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya

Week 3 – Amy

Week 4 – Tina

This week is hosted by Tina and next week’s will be hosted by Patti.

I hope you enjoy.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
