It’s all a cruise, this time of the hour.
Sometimes it is not a cruise and instead it is a drag, but at the moment it is a cruise and gliding my way to victory is what I hope to achieve.
Soon there will be an outside world that is my universe and through it I shall soar on two wheels down a hill and off onto something else that must be, for there is an end to be reached so long as I get there and verily so.
Perhaps there is nothing to reach for on the other side, but always there will be at some stage, but perhaps not at this moment in time and so on.
I will glide my way to the station and off to another thing of which there shall be some sort of achievement in moving from point A to point B and in that stated order, as there must be for the order to work.
Now, where was I?
Somewhere using a phrase that I’ve used far too many times at this point, but it works (sometimes, but not really) so I shall stick with that phrase.
I shall not feel the wind in my hair, but I shall feel the steed of the iron element as it moves along and carries me to glorious times.
I shall see some things that I have seen before, but in a different context to the times I had previously seen them.
I shall make my way through suburbia and off onto something else entirely, which will be a different kinds of suburbia.
There will be blades of grass and people of the pathway.
There shall be an afternoon that shall be enjoyed in some context.
I shall think and make decisions that may or may not make sense.
I shall do the things that I shall set out to do in this afternoon that is mine to enjoy.
I shall also do some other things, such as go up a hill and then down a hill.
A world outside shall be my universe to explore within a limited quantity, but the most of it is what I shall make of it and at the end of the ride I shall head home and then rest in a way that suggests that I will be resting and verily so.
Perhaps there will be some things that I am yet to see in my short life, but who knows?
There is, after all, only one way to find out and that involves leaving this building as quickly as I can in order to get to that outside world and find something else that I can find that I would normally find…
I think that I’ve started to ramble a little more than I should be rambling.
Well, here we are at the end of the shift. Time to get outside. Time to see what lies out there.
Well, as soon as I finish this last sentence.
The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:17:35
I think that I really just wanted to leave work when I wrote this, which might explain why it turned out the way it turned out.
Written at work.
