Five-Hundred Word Challenge 394: Climb up its Side

There is a single light illuminating my typing space at the moment, and to be honest, I am fine with this being the case, as it seems to give me a little more focus on what I am doing.

Soon, soon all my plans will come to fruition and I will be free from the tyranny of whatever it is that terrorizes my heart at night and keeps me awake, screaming into the darkness that surrounds.

Well, that was a little dark.

Perhaps it is due to… I don’t know.

However, I don’t know.

With that being said, I do know that I don’t know.

Now, with that out of the way, I can get back to discussing my thoughts on global domination as I prepare to trundle on down to the park and scale a mountain so big, that not even a large pastry could form a definitive ring around its hubris.

At least, that is what I think, anyway.

I will climb up its side over a period of many days and perhaps even weeks. There shall be the passing of the clouds as they almost seem to descend around me as I keep going up in the search of the peak, which hopefully is something that I would not have passed.

The birds would seem to compress the higher I go, even though the pressure is decreasing (I think), and yet this would not bother me at all, for there are goals for which I have to achieve and in only climbing upward can I achieve those goals.

Soon I would be where I wanted to be and I would rest on the top. I would sit there and ruminate on all that has carried me tow here I was then located. There would be much thought and much silence, for I needed to do some serious thinking and only as far from all I could be whilst being on earth would I be able to sit and have a good, long think about where I was and who I was.

Of course, there would come a time where I would have to begin making my way down. It would probably be some time in the afternoon. Perhaps the following day. I do not know as of yet, for the time has not come. However, it would come and the journey down would be as arduous as it would be safe.

That is to say, somewhat.

However, it would not be the longest journey that I have had to take in my life and it would not take up all of the day in which the journey begun. Merely a portion of the day.

Once down, I of course would exit the park and go back to where I was before all of this ordeal began and then that would be the end of it all, for the time being.

There would be another time for more adventuring, but that time would have to wait a while.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:47:96

I think that this has a really good flow, but suffers in the quality.

It rambles a bit too much and could be more concise, but it is fairly smooth.

I think.

About Stupidity Hole

I'm some guy that does stuff. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I do more than I probably should. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out. I also co-run Culture Eater, an online zine for covering the arts among other things. We're on Patreon!
