Five-Hundred Word Challenge 380: Sydney is Waking up

The early morning, dark it is at this hour.

There are birds that can be heard at some distance, making the sounds a bird does as the sunlight gradually reaches over this side of the planet in order to illuminate all that is for a period of time.

The sound of a bike can be heard as someone leaves earlier than they usually would in order to get to work a little sooner. Perhaps it is a busy day for them.

The sound of cars cannot be heard, but it gradually increases as more and more people wake up and make their way to wherever they need to be for the day.

Sydney is waking up and making a lot of noise the farther into the morning it grows.

People will rush about and look down, but some will look up and make sure that they know where they are going and into whom they will walk.

The buses will merge with the traffic onto main roads and flow along at a pace that has no rhythm that is easy to perceive, for there will be much stopping and starting at undetermined points all along the journey into the city.

Buildings will cast long shadows that will not be perceived as being as such by the people that walk through them, for it is how the city usually is seen.

Many will head to work, may will head to somewhere for recreation, and many will head to some location of education for a multitude of reasons.

Some people will stay at home for another multitude of reasons.

There is much to be done and the time in which to do it is always limited, so many will make the most of their day in order to accomplish their goals for which they have set out ahead of them.

However, there will be many others who shall choose to slow down and instead do much less than they normally would, for they need to relax a bit more than they have in recent times.

There are many who make up the fabric of  the city and they will all find something to do today, whether it be a lot of as little as possible.

The traffic still remains low despite the increase in levels, but there will still be those who find it troublesome to navigate. Some will express patience, whereas others shall express frustration and fury and will drive dangerously due to a complete lack of discipline. One day they may realise that they are not the only ones who are making a trip to a destination and on that day they will finally calm down and accept that the road is not just for them.

People commute and the city shall remain busy for many an hour, for it will be dark once more when the city is no longer a busy place.

However, like the day, this time is fleeting, for the sun will pass the horizon again.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 08:24:57

Probably a bit too dramatic.

Written at home.
