Man, it’s really insane at work at the moment. Well, that might actually be a bit inaccurate to say, so instead I shall change that around at some point in the future of this exercise in typing as fast as I can in order to whatever.
It’s really busy. I’ve been inundated more than I would ever like to admit. It feels like the office is busy, and that is a good thing as, even though I am not working right now and instead on a break, it means that the breaks are much more easy to appreciate and also means that when working, I am kept busy by the calls. There is little lag and thus little time to power down, instead being kept busy al the time by the many enquiries that I am continuously answering in order to assist customers to the best of my ability.
I’ve written a fair bit about the crap that I (and others) cop from customers due to their unreasonable demands, but there are plenty that area really awesome and laugh at the silly remarks that you make in order to see if you can get them laughing and smiling and, in a way it makes the job a little more rewarding than it would normally be. The ability to be a little more social with customers in my job than in home loans is a massive boon and one that I really appreciate, as it allows the calls to be a little more personalised, even when we are busy.
Being kept busy is a good thing as, whilst it does mean that you’re more tired at the end of the day, you’re also not lagging. Instead you’re always doing something and in always doing something that means that you are kept going and the time seems to flow a little more. I wouldn’t necessarily say that it goes b any faster, as it most certainly does not (especially right now), but I would definitely say that everything seems to become a little more easier than usual.
I’m sitting here and I don’t feel any sense of dread toward going back onto the phones when my lunch ends. That’s a really good thing. I do know that I probably will when I do get back on the phones, but that is another story for another day.
I wonder as to how many more calls I will take when I get back onto the phones. I wonder as to how many more before Christmas, although it is probably pointless to think about. I don’t really know if it is or isn’t, but I still can’t help but wonder.
Probably isn’t that important to think about.
Well, with all of that being said, I probably should get back to relaxing before the call deluge resumes once more. There are customers to service and people to answer with plenty of professional ridiculousness that will keep spirits high and people satisfied.
There are calls to answer!
The time it took to write five-hundred words: 05:42:73
Something a little less madcap and a little more sensible.
I think there is a good flow for most of this bit of text.
Written at work.
