Five-Hundred Word Challenge 101: At University

Today this five-hundred word challenge is brought to you by university, where I have the most facial hair by virtue of not shaving for two weeks as everyone around me isn’t old enough to grow more than a few hairs and eagerly await the ability to grow big peaches of hair on their face due to some sort of race to prove ones beard-status, thinking it looks attractive (sometimes it does) but not realising that they look like they’ve come out of some sort of pile of hay…

But I digress.

Or do I?

Perhaps I am talking about myself..

So it’s interesting to be sitting here with a brief break, resting my back as my huge chunk of boulder that I refer to as a laptop decides to relentlessly strike blow upon blow upon my back for no other reason than I have one that’s not fit for spinal consumption.

I’m actually feeling pretty good about university right now. Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that I’m consuming yogurt whilst sitting in a library whilst beating the living hell out of the keyboard of my laptop whilst listening to something that could be considered heavy and I’m not doing any of it with a shred of irony as I don’t fit into that “it’s all ironic” crowd that I probably should, due to my dressing for mostly practical purposes and owning a shirt where a man is putting his head up another man’s ass whilst someone looks on in shock, and another shirt that has, in a fairly professional-looking font, the word “masturbate” on it.

Oh yes, I lack the irony that my hipper colleagues so readily exemplify with their very being of existence at all times, somehow all being the irony singularity at once and never at the same time.

I should be using this time to study, but I’d rather use it to type away, making this post for the day.

I have a lecture coming up, but in a way, this helps me prepare for it as I’m keeping the brain working in a thought-based mode.

Despite it being used for more creative purposes, it’s still thinking and thinking is good for the learning.

I do genuinely have a good feeling about this semester as I’m taking on more subjects which is nice, but everything feels a bit easier.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that, unlike everyone around me, I am as ancient as the cosmos that I inhabit (at least compared to them) and yet somehow they mistake me for being around their age (that probably has to do with the copious amounts of plastic surgery I have had over an incredibly short amount of time {never}).

It reminds me that… I don’t know what it reminds me of.

I think that, in all honesty… nope. Definitely the wall.

Can I scale it? Yes.

I’ll now climb the wall.

The time it took to write five-hundred words: 08:41:24

Pretty happy with that as I don’t think I’ve done one here before.

Now back to wall climbing.

Written at UNSW library at a low desk.

About stupidityhole

I'm some guy that does stuff. The standards. Creating amazing effigies, scaling mountains using my feet only and replacing the very fabric of reality. Serious time! I enjoy writing. I make music in some of my spare time. Currently working somewhat full time and studying as well. Also working on self-improvement. Hoping to one day fill the internet with enough insane ramblings to impress a cannibal rat ship. I have a page called MS Paint Masterpieces that you may be interested in checking out.
