I was bush walking alone on Tuesday as I needed to get out of the city and didn’t want to wait for someone to come with me anymore.
I went to a place I hadn’t been before, marveled at the beauty, swam, took photos, contemplated the beauty of nature…
I’ll talk about the place another time, but for now here’s a photo I took.
After my short swim, I took some photos of myself (usually when I take photos of myself, I like to pull stupid faces or poses as I think it’s more enjoyable), then I started “experimenting”.
I tried to position my hands in my hair at certain angles and in different ways, looking to see what would come from it.
I’m pretty happy with the results.
I’m not sure what to make of this photo, but I like the shape of my hands and the various textures that are coming through.
I like how there’s bits of light that are making parts of my hair much brighter.
I like that it looks like my hair is trying to escape from my hands and my hands seem to be trying to keep my hair contained.
I like that it could also represent some sort of intense sensation being experienced.
This is my forty-third entry into Leanne Cole‘s “Monochrome Madness“.
You should go see her work, as well as the other things that people are submitting into MM.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
