There is a man outside in his underpants, standing and looking at the sky, yelling “where’s the rain?! Where is the rain?!”.
He is shaking his fist and stomping one of his feet against the ground as he is doing this, and it is as fantastic as it is mystifying.
Well, okay, that is not what is actually happening.
There is no man and there is no display of interest.
However, it is what I wish was happening right now, as it would sum up how I feel about the weather right now.
It is quite overcast and it looks as though it is going to rain at any moment.
However, there is no rain falling at all.
This week is meant to be a wet one and supposedly it was going to rain today, but the weather report is telling me otherwise. Whilst I am not displeased (as it means when I head out, I’ll be getting snap happy), I kind of wish it would be raining.
The great thing about rain is that it’s so incredibly dramatic.
Okay… there’s a lot of great things about rain and it just so happens that it being dramatic is one of those great things.
If you’re really angry, heartbroken or some sort of other emotion that doesn’t make you feel good, you can go for a run (or, preferably, jog) in the rain and it feels so much more cathartic due to it being dramatic.
Who doesn’t want their own personal catharsis scene?
Rain is also fun to listen to.
It can be incredibly relaxing.
It can also be incredibly terrifying.
I enjoy rain to an extent.
I don’t like it when it rains on and off for a few weeks, as I need to be able to wash and dry my clothes.
With that being said, it is only a minor issue really and I don’t think I have any other problems with the rain, now that I think about it.
I wish it would rain today as it would make a consistent week.
Also, as I am in a mood to see the rain.
Whilst I am not feeling the need for a dramatic jog, I would still like to have the option for one today, just in case I need it later.
I don’t think I will, but still, options are nice.
The rain doesn’t need to be too heavy. There just needs to be enough of it for me to be able to come home soaked in water and able to dry off with the use of a towel after having a shower to get the rain off me.
Because when covered in water, the best thing to do is have a shower to get rid of the water that you are covered in.
Today is supposedly not a day that it is going to rain, but for reasons that are as unreasonable as they are reasonable, it should rain today.
I know I’d like it.
The time it took to write five-hundred words: 9:32:71
I was attempting to be semi-serious here.
I don’t think it worked.
This was written at my desk at home.
