Now featuring a spider in its leaf!
This is a photo I took on the same weekend as these ones.
I’ve decided to use it for the weekly photo challenge.
The theme this week is “Intricate“.
Although I am slightly afraid of spiders, I find them fascinating creatures.
Spiders can make webs that look incredibly complex to us.
To them, it may be rather basic.
They are capable of creating beautiful patterns purely for the intent of catching prey.
Some prefer to be underground.
Some prefer to be underwater.
They are very patient.
Whilst I have a small backyard that is mostly tiles, I have spiders show up fairly regularly.
I took a photo of this one as I was heading out to take photos as I liked how the leaf looked with the web around it.
That’s all I really have to say.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
The B&W works well with your photo and having the leaf in the picture makes is unusual.

Cheers.
I get a few spiders doing this in my backyard but not in the same way as this one did.
Usually they seem to have less web and the leaf will be a bit more off to the side but this one was very close to the centre.

I imagine it was munching away for a while.

Very interesting shot, it is always interesting to see what is found in spiderwebs. The black and white is perfect for this type of shot.

It certainly is interesting to see what is found in webs but also seeing what they’re connected to.
