Today is a public holiday and I have to work.
To be honest, I don’t mind.
It’ll be quiet in the office and I’ll be able to focus on what I do because of that.
I’ll be getting paid a lot more as well and only have to work for five hours.
I was finally able to start my work day with a swim, albeit a brief one. It was quite refreshing. The water was a good temperature and there weren’t many people around so it felt a bit more like I had the beach to myself.
I’m not sure if I’m going to head to the beach again after work or go straight home instead. I’ll probably end up going home as I need to buy a few things on the way and I want to spend some time on music, but having another swim is quite tempting.
I’m somewhat surprised as to how clear and clean the water is at Brighton-Le-Sands. It’s in Botany Bay and also quite close to Sydney Airport, so it doesn’t make sense to me, but I imagine there’s a valid explanation that probably involves currents.
I did end up cycling on Saturday. They popped in very briefly just after I came home and told me the open inspection went well and then apologised for being unable to close the back door. I let them know it was fine, not understanding how badly they screwed up. When I went to close the back door before going to sleep later, I noticed that they managed to jam part of it onto the lower part that keeps it in place (it’s a sliding double door). Now the door is a bit damaged.
Well played real estate.
